 Objectives

  • To train specialists in commerce and trade able to :

  • Analyse a changing environment

  • Define a commercial development strategy

  • Elaborate plans of action and implementation

  • Manage sales forces

Programme
Term starts each year in October


The Fundamentals of Management : This first semester common to all the Masters programmes, has the objective of providing each student, with the basic knowledge of all management disciplines

Specialised programme
The curriculum is divided into eight core teaching modules

International Business Techniques
 
> International trading tools and techniques
 > International marketing and e-marketing
 
> European and international business law
 
> International logistics and transport
 
> Sales force management

Strategy and International Business Development
 
> Net economy and e-commerce
 
>International business development strategy
 
> Strategy in approaching different foreign markets (doing business with/in the European Union, Eastern Europe and Russia, North America, Central and South America, East Asia, Japan and China)
 
> International week : specialized modules given by visiting professors from foreign partner schools and   universities

International Project
Students are expected to apply the theories and techniques taught in the classroom during their practical work placement. They must prepare, carry out and follow up an assignment abroad, and produce a dissertation to be defended orally. Students are monitored throughout the course by the programme director or other designated instructor.


Assignment abroad - examples :
> Audit for industrial or commercial launching in a foreign country
> New product launch in a foreign market
> Selection of commercial or industrial partners in the foreign market
> Product launch in a new market
> Commercial Development and preparation of commercial contracts

Internship/Professional Experience
Professional training lasting from 6 months to maximum 12 months in France or abroad. The student has to prove his ability to bring a real added-value to the organization for development of its international business. Each trainee is individually monitored by a designated coach

This programme trains graduates for a variety of positions throughout the world, in large corporations as well as in SME’s.

Housing
Clermont-Ferrand is a university town and accommodation can be found relatively easily.
Groupe ESC Clermont offers a service in order to help International students to find accommodation (only for International students paying the whole tuition fees).

Alumni Association
More that 6000 graduates are members of the ESC Clermont Alumni Association: a network of dynamic alumni students with correspondents throughout the world. The association provides support to its members in their career development.

  • Centre for Work Experience and Internships. Every year the centre receives more than 2000 offers of work experience and internships for students at the Groupe ESC Clermont.

 Entry requirements :


Bachelor's degree or equivalent

TOEFL or equivalent : If your native language is not English, you must submit an official TOEFL score of at least 550. If you have received a degree from a University in an English-speaking country, you are exempt from the TOEFL requirement.

Selection
Deadlines for Application until end of June

Interviews are held in Clermont if possible, otherwise by video-conference.

Admission results are communicated to candidates within two weeks of the interview process.

Admission process
The MSc Admission Committee bases its decision for admission on the following:

  • application form

  • letters of recommendation

  • the candidate's personal strengths and skills

  • the candidate's career project

  • oral competency in English

Tuition fees

•  11 000€ + 250 €  to subscribe to alumni association.
•  7 700 € for international students from ESC Clermont's partner institutions

Scholarships are available for candidates to study on one of our MSc programmes
