A bird’s eye view of professional fairs at Groupe ESC Clermont

Groupe ESC Clermont organises « professional fairs » within the School’s premises on a regular basis. The last one focussed on networking and helped bring companies directly into contact with students.

Company representatives were all looking for interns and even offered some permanent positions for future graduates.

25 companies were present on the campus and each one had a stand to meet with students. About 700 speed meetings took place all day long with 150 participating students from different programmes…so each student benefited from between 4 or 5 interviews.

There was a wide range of participating companies: from big international corporations to small local businesses. Students could meet company representatives pertaining to various sectors:  Adecco (a recruiting agency), Auchan (a national supermarket retailer), Castorama (a DIY retailer), Decathlon (a sports retailer), Limagrain (an international agricultural co-operative), EY Careers (IT/consulting), Capgemini (IT/consulting), Sopra Steria (IT/consulting), BNP Paribas (banking), Banque Populaire Auvergne Rhône Alpes (banking), Crédit Agricole Centre France (banking), Caisse d’Epargne Auvergne-Limousin (banking), Groupama (insurance), Hilti (tools), Paprec Group (environment), CIC (banking), Crit Interim (a national temping agency).

If students are looking for smaller or more local companies, they can also do so. The SMEs represented include: Happy culture (hotels), Babymoov (smart childcare products), Banque Nuger (banking), Capillum (startup), Primexis (accounting), Welcom (retailer), Lojelis (IT/consulting) and Joubert (manufacturing).

Looking at this list, one could easily argue that Michelin is missing. That would, indeed, be a good observation… but rest reassured, our biggest partner and recruiter, Michelin, has its own special dedicated events at the School!
