When can I go abroad?

Going abroad – Bachelor

Each student on the Bachelor in International Management Programme has the possibility to gain an international experience abroad. The support of the International Office and the network of over 100 partner universities (double-degree or exchange) work together to guarantee the success of this international experience.

When can I go for a semester or a year abroad? When can I obtain the Double-degree?

  • BACH3 – S1 or S2: It is possible to spend a semester abroad during Year 3 of the Bachelor Programme.
  • BACH3 – DD: It is possible to obtain a Double-degree during the Year 3 of the Bachelor Programme. Applications open in January for Year 2 Bachelor students.

“I studied for one year to get a Bachelor’s double-degree from University of Southern Denmark. I had chosen to study in Denmark as the Scandinavian countries are known for the quality of their education and their innovative methods of teaching. The university was quite big with more than 22,000 students. It was a unique occasion to discover a new study approach and to also meet many international students while strengthening my level of English by practicing with them on a regular basis. Some particular things to learn about life in Denmark: Cycling remains the most common transportation method, even when it is raining or snowing. Furthermore, the night falls very early and in Spring, the sun never sets which was quite new for me. Thanks to this experience, I discovered a rich culture that motivates me to travel and perhaps return to Denmark for work.

Going abroad – Master

At least 50% of the academic year has to be spent at Groupe ESC Clermont within the entire period of the Master in Management.

When can I go for a semester or a year abroad? When can I obtain the Double-degree?

  • Year 1 of the Programme (MGE2 in French)
  • MGE2 – S2: During Year 1, students may spend their second semester in one of our partner universities abroad.
  • Gap Year

Students may also decide to add a gap year between Year 1 & 2. During this period, they can study for one semester or a year at one of our partner universities abroad and obtain a “Dual-competence” certificate in humanities, social sciences, political sciences, etc.
Please note: Students who wish to join the double-degree track during their final year, must take on a gap year, which must necessarily take the form of internships or work placements within a company.

  • Year 2 of the Programme (MGE3 in French)
  • MGE3 – S1: Students can do an exchange semester during the first semester of the final year.
  • MGE3 – DD: Students can also spend their final academic year in one of Groupe ESC Clermont’s partner universities in order to obtain a double-degree. Important: In this case, a gap year in a company between Year 1 & 2 is COMPULSORY. The compulsory end-of-cursus internship will be included in this period.
