Student Life

Accommodation

If our campus has one strong asset in Clermont, it is that it is located right in the city centre, at the foot of the historic city centre and about ten minutes’ walk from the bus and train stations. This location in the city centre also has a significant advantage over accommodation: 95% of students come to classes on foot or by tram and 70% of them are less than 10 minutes away from the campus.

Programme

  • The programme
  • A solid background in management
  • Cross-disciplinary modules throughout the programme
  • Intercultural modules

The programme provides students with a solid background in management and broadens their knowledge and expertise in the chosen specialisation. Master in Management students will acquire the necessary managerial skills to become future responsible managers and leaders in the global business world. Graduates of the Master programme evolve in a world-wide environment where a multicultural background and practical training is essential.

Students are prepared for a successful managerial career through accumulating:

  • Strong Management knowledge
  • Specialized business expertise
  • Professional experience
  • International exposure

Core modules based on the fundamentals of management form the basis of the Master programme, with a focus on international issues. Innovative methods, tools and cross-disciplinary modules provide in-depth knowledge of economic, legal, geopolitical issues.

The Master programme also focuses on economic, legal, social/societal and political issues to give students an insight into current global challenges and encourage their full engagement and responsibility. The following modules are offered during the the programme:

  • New World Forum – Critical Thinking
  • Culture and Science Workshop
  • Controversy Mapping
  • International Economics, Procurement Law and Geopolitics
  • Interdisciplinary Seminars

  • 2 modern languages including French
  • Possibility of learning another foreign language (evening classes)
  • Students must obtain a minimum score of 750 in the TOEIC Exam to obtain their degree.
What I greatly appreciate during my stay here as a student is that more than 50% of lessons taught revolve around applied knowledge which honed both my theoretical knowledge and technical skills especially in my specialization (Business Intelligence & Analytics). The real-life cases or consultancy projects that I had the chance to work on also helped me test both my developed and acquired skills and expand my professional network.

Professionalization

…

pedagogy

The School offers one of the best teacher-to-student ratios in CGE member management schools. With 45 teacher-researchers in various disciplines, almost all of whom have a PhD, and nearly 300 professionals regularly involved in the courses, our pedagogy is quite simply that of common sense…

It alternates the acquisition of knowledge with practical application or situations (with group work or “business games” type work), which is also commonly known as “learning by doing”.

Finally, it affirms the preference for face-to-face courses rather than distance or e-learning, since they generally allow a better quality of interaction between students and teachers.
